Testing & Commissioning Manager - Rail
Location: OTHER
Basic Salary: £TBC
Location: Jerusalem - Israel
Profile:
- Wide knowledge of the rail environment and Engineering practices, Preferably LRT.
- Broad knowledge of the subsystems / products to be tested and commissioned. Background in Rolling Stock in particular knowledge of Trams / Light Rail systems.
- At least 8 years of experience in the Testing & Commissioning field.
- Experience of team management.
- Fluent in English
- Execellent coordination and communication skills.
Role and responsibilities:
- Manage the integration and validation of test and commissioning activities for operations system.
- Validate the plans and test procedures for systems activities.
- Validate the plans and test procedures of the participating units (either Alstom or partner)
- Plan and coordinate the site tests (test track and VTT if any) of the participating units
- Coordinate the necessary means for the realization of the system tests, being understood that each participating unit (either Alstom or partner) provides the staff and test tools for their own equipments.
- Organize the “readiness reviews” of the participating units, which are a mandatory preliminary to the system tests.
- Follow-up the corrective action mandatory before the system tests start.
- Create and manage action plans corresponding to the system malfunctioning system, aiming at reaching the contractual performances targets.
- Manage the system configuration during the successive tests phases (factory, test track, site…)
- Lead, develop and motivate the T&C team.
- Implement the processes, methods and tools corresponding to T&C activities.
- Develop T&C communication plan with client and local authorities.
- Manage the temporary Operation team
- Interface with police and local authorities during the preparation and performance of T&C
