Operations/Senior Contracts Manager - Construction
Location: Hertfordshire
Basic Salary: £65,000 - £ 75,000 Per Annum
Job Purpose
To assist Operations Director in the operational delivery of the Infrastructure Services Business Plan ensuring compliance with the Companys Corporate Policies & Strategies. The successful candidate will have a Civil Engineering background and experience of roads, bridges and urban regeneration paving schemes.
Principle Duties & Accountabilities
Bid Management
The Operations Manager will be expected to act as bid manager on a number of our strategic bids,
The Operations Manager will also be responsible for providing operational support into other tenders as required,
Operations
Responsible for setting up new projects, forming operational delivery teams and selection of supply chain
Responsible for delivery of projects (programme, quality, safety, commercial) from inception through to final account,
To be responsible for Health and Safety on all assigned projects,
To work with the Directors and Commercial Manager in developing budgets and monthly commercial forecasts for each project,
Provide training, development and encouragement to staff to ensure all contracts are resourced with sufficient staff competent and motivated for the role expected from them.
Maintain sound communications with clients and supply chain.
Ensure a regular and robust timetable of internal meetings are implemented with managers for which you are responsible.
To attend all operational client meetings and to ensure weekly meetings are being held by project teams
Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications Required
Technical knowledge and experience in delivering Civils, Highways and Public Realm projects ranging in value from £3m to £25m,
Safety, company procedures, legislation and practice.
