Design Engineer / Draughtsman - Rail
Location: Greater Manchester
Basic Salary: £200 - £250 Per Day
I am looking for an Assistant Signalling Design Engineer to work on a 8-10 week contract in the North West.The Design Engineer will be responsible for carrying out design and design production checks on Signalling systems, developing through the range of standard trackside equipment to more complex conceptual design work.
Main Responsibilities:
•Assist in the preparation of technical details, specifications and tenders for Signalling projects.
•Ensure technical and safety standards are maintained in all aspects of Signalling system work as instructed.
•Discharge safety responsibilities in relation to CDM Regulations, Health and Safety legislation, company procedures and standards.
•Carry out testing and commissioning of Signalling systems as instructed by more senior Engineers.
The ideal candidate will be educated to a degree level or equivalent and hold and IRSE Licence. You will be a team player with excellent communication skills.
