IT Manager - Construction

Location: Middlesex

Basic Salary: £60,000 - £ 65,000 Per Annum Private Healthcare

The VGC Group are currently looking for a proficient IT & Systems Manager to support the six operating companies within the VGC Group. Candidates must be of graduate level in Computer Science / Information Technology and will ideally have worked in an IT Management role within a Construction environment.

In this challenging IT role you would be responsible for the day to day IT Operations, IT Project Management, systems availability and meeting over-all service level agreements. You will be required to maintain our in-house data centre & disaster recovery site, manage the in-house software development team and IT Service Desk to ensure direction and support for development activities, bug fixes and transition of projects as part of the overall Software Development process and delivery. You will be required to map best practices for IT operations and software / hardware roll out management and provide out of hours support when required at both remote / on-site locations.

You must have experience of liaising at Director level, developing IT strategy, vision and policy, managing IT budgets and have a strong awareness of IT governance and managing risks. You will be experienced in IT procurement and vendor management including vendor selection, negotiation and ongoing vendor management. The role will involve implementing ITIL [SLA, Incident, Change and Problem Management].

Finally, you must have excellent team management and motivating skills so good communication, organisation and leadership skills are all essential.
