VGC Recruits for the future...
VGC recently attended a recruitment fair with JCP. As well as registering some excellent candidates VGC were able to provide advice for people trying to seek work into the industry & gaining construction related competencies such as CSCS cards.
Chris Ryan, Regional Manager for VGC Labour Solutions explains - "VGC are committed to working with our local employment networks to ensure that we place local people into local jobs who are both competent and qualified to do the job in hand. We have worked hard with the local employment and skills teams to identify the skills and attitudes that are required within the industry. Despite difficult market conditions VGC has been able to place over 140 people into sustainable work since July."
Following the recruitment fair, an advisor from JCP thanked VGC for their contribution. "Construction continues to play a vital role in the economy. VGC has worked very closely with us to support people into jobs and training opportunities and we are very happy with the positive impact that this has had. Since working with VGC we have seen people helped towards their ambition of working in the construction industry and securing employment"
