VGC are delighted that Tiffany Hobbs has completed and passed her Business & Administration Apprenticeship and has been awarded a Level 2 NVQ in Business & Administration.
Apprenticeships are a framework to ensure that the elements of competence, skills, knowledge & employment rights and responsibilities are covered. Through a mixture of work based learning and education, apprentices learn on the job with other employees, focusing on the whole job, building up knowledge & skills.
Areas that were covered during Tiffany's apprenticeship scheme included general business & office administration, customer relations, diary management, dealing with customers, CLAiT IT Skills, application of skills to the work environment, communication, Equality & Diversity, British Safety Council Certificate in Health & Safety & Emergency First Aid.
Furthermore we are delighted that Tiffany is going to continue the apprenticeship on to Level 3 during 2010 / 11 whilst working within the Commercial Department assisting with the procurement of all plant and materials for our projects.
Ciara Fitzpatrick said "VGC is fully supportive of the apprenticeship programme and it allows us to develop well trained & competent people who are aligned with the requirements of VGC whilst ensuring that the apprentices are equipped with the skills and experience to gain long term sustainable employment"
