VGC Win Sub Contractor of the Year with Skanska Balfour Beatty Joint Venture on the M25 Section

VGC have been awarded Sub-contractor of the year on the Skanska Balfour Beatty Joint Venture M25 Widening Project from Junction 27 - 30. VGC were awarded this prize for their outstanding contribution towards safety on the project.

Throughout the year VGC Supervisor, Mark Beer, has been constantly compliant with the guidelines Skanska Balfour Beatty have set out. Compliance is judged by a points scoring system totalled up monthly, of which VGC have come out on top more than any other contractor throughout 2010. Each contractor is judged on criteria such as briefings, near miss reporting, safety tours completed, compliance with site rules and passing on/coming up with innovative safety ideas.
