VGC SIGN UP TO CONSTRUCTING BETTER HEALTH

VGC Group Limited is delighted to announce that we have signed up to the Constructing Better Health (CBH) membership scheme.

CBH is a not for profit organisation committed to improving the health of the Construction Sector workforces. It focuses on five key areas:

• Setting industry standards for both work-related health issues, and competency of occupational health provision
• Building a construction-specific knowledge portal
• Centralising the collection of work-related health data
• The transmission of fit-for-task data to enable employers to manage work-related health risks at site level
• A referral route through to specialists in the field of return to work and rehabilitation      

Ciara Pryce, Group Services Director at VGC said "Our workforce is our most valuable asset and it is now time for us to focus on our workers ‘health'. This scheme will allow us to implement a robust Occupational Health scheme to ensure that we take a holistic approach to the welfare of our workers. Being a member will allow us access to a wealth of information in relation to work related health, training and toolkits."

VGC believes that the CBH membership scheme will allow us to drive improvements in health and safety of our people and continue to underpin our commitment to corporate social responsibility & sustainability.
