We would like to say well done to Nirvana Murray for receiving an award for her "Outstanding Achievement" on her Business Administration Apprenticeship.

Nirvana completed her Level 2 NVQ in record time and this is as a result of the hard work that Nirvana has personally put into completing all her assignments and the support she has received from her department colleagues.

The awards ceremony took place at the Sheraton Skyline hotel at Heathrow on Friday 22nd July 2011.

The Outstanding Achievement award was presented by the Mayor of Hillingdon - Cllr Mary O Connor and Yasmina Siadatan, winner of BBC1's The Apprentice in 2009.

Yasmina Siadatan drew on her own experiences as Lord Sugar's apprentice and as a businesswoman, encouraging the learners to stay focussed, be proactive and remain determined in the world of work. Yasmina commented: "An enthusiastic approach and sheer hard work, as well as gaining relevant qualifications are the ingredients for success and factors that employers look for when recruiting young people. The learners I met at the celebration are on the path to acquiring these strengths, which will undoubtedly be of great value in their chosen careers."

Laura Edwards also accepted an award on behalf of the VGC Group in recognition of our contribution to the Apprenticeship Programme.
