Working for the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead through Balfour Beatty Workplace, the work involves the uplifting and re-laying of the existing Yorkstone, together with re-alignment of the kerb line. Cliff Barrowman, Director of Construction Services said "One interesting aspect is the removal and reinstallation of the steel carriage stays in the kerb line. These were originally installed to support the horse drawn carriages as they sat in the stationary position and hence took the strain of the weight of the carriage from the horse. VGC Construction is delighted to be involved in such a high profile and prestigious project."
