During this recession, young people are being affected by a lack of opportunities in the labour market. It is important for Britain's future that we don't lose them from the workplace altogether.

On Friday 20th November 2009 the staff at Cardinal House raised £301.00 in aid of Children in Need.

VGC received a commendation from Peter Curson, Project  Director at Balfour Beatty in recognition of the personal actions of the following VGC London Underground gang in supporting their colleague.

VGC Recruits for the future...

VGC recently attended a recruitment fair with JCP. As well as registering some excellent candidates VGC were able to provide advice for people trying to seek work into the industry & gaining construction related competencies such as CSCS cards.

VGC workers demonstrate increased competency levels through achievement of NVQ’s

VGC's close working relationships with Lewisham College has resulted in a large number of VGC workers achieving Level 2 and Level 3 NVQ's demonstrating compliance with the national occupational standards in areas such as general construction operations, form working, excavation and reinstatement, structural concreting & Occupational Work Supervision.
